The KAUST Supercomputing Core Laboratory (KSL) is co-organizing with HPE, a three-day training workshop about Shaheen III from April 16-18 for KAUST users. The objective of this workshop is to provide training to all existing and prospective users of Shaheen III. This training is only for KAUST users. The summary of the planned activities for this free of cost event is shown below.
Day-1 General User Training (KSL)
1. Morning: General training about setting up account, schedule, software environment, hardware specifications, filesystem and some basic examples. All registrants are expected to attend.
2. Afternoon: 30 minutes training sessions on Chemistry/Physics/material Science, computational fluid dynamics, data science, computational biology and atmospheric science. Registrants can attend any domain specific training that they are interested in.
Day 2: Advanced Application Performance Training (HPE, KSL, AMD)
3. Application placement, perftools, performance analysis, debugging, MPI & IO and profiling
4. This is an advanced training for code developers and individuals interested in squeezing the optimum performance from their applications.
Day 3: Application Clinics
5. Attendees can bring their codes and experts will work with them to improve the code’s performance.
