Dear Shaheen Users,
This is a reminder of the upcoming planned outages for Shaheen, first outage is scheduled to begin at 08:00 on Tuesday, August 19, and expected to conclude
by the end of Sunday, August 24 and second outage to begin at 08:00 on Monday, September 1, and expected to conclude by end of Friday, September 5.

we would like to inform you of two subsequent planned outages in support of the Shaheen Phase 2 (GPU compute nodes) installation:
- August 19–24: Required to integrate the GPU Slingshot network into the system
- September 1–5: Required to extend the project filesystem.
During this second outage, Shaheen will remain available but only the/scratchfilesystem will be accessible. The project filesystem will be taken offline for the extension work.
Please note that the GPU system will not enter production during this phase. These extended outages are critical to enable the next stage of Shaheen’s development.
We kindly ask all users and PIs to plan their work accordingly and thank you for your understanding and support during these essential upgrades.
