The KAUST Supercomputing Core Laboratory (KSL) is co-organizing with ANSYS and their Elite channel partner for the Middle East, Fluid Codes (https://fluidcodes.com), a three-day ANSYS workshop about ANSYS based engineering applications using Shaheen II Supercomputer from July 25-27. All registrants will be able to take the certificate exam online. ANSYS is a leader in developing and marketing engineering simulation software.

Shaheen III Phase 1 Factory Trials at HPE factory in Chippewa falls, Wisconsin. The goal is to have a pre-shipment test and validation of the Shaheen III installation in the factory before it is packed and shipped to KAUST for on-site installation. This testing phase is an important milestone of the project plan for Shaheen III phase 1 and helps mitigate risks of issues during the on-site installation and deployment.

This is an advance notice about our next maintenance session on Shaheen, which is scheduled for 3rd of July 2023 from 8am.

During this one day outage, we are planning to install essential xc40 software patches.

At the same time, we will be working on scratch and project filesystems to perform necessary hardware work.

Shaheen compute, login nodes and filesystem will not be available during the maintenance.
